Chicano Studies

Chicano(a)/Latino(a) Studies is an interdisciplinary program designed to broaden the student's understanding about the history and cultural background (politics, literature, art) of a people expected to represent the majority population in the Southwestern United States within the next generation.

A Chicano(a)/Latino(a) Studies A.A. Degree will academically prepare students planning to enter professions such as law, medicine, teaching, criminal justice, journalism business and any other that requires a liberal arts education.

CHST/HIST B30b History of Chicanos in the Southwest 3.0
CHST/HIST B33 Latin American History 3.0

SPAN B10 Spanish for Native Speakers 4.0
