Bakersfield College’s Student Government Association continues its work to support the local community with a blood drive to help replenish diminishing stocks at local blood banks. Then entire Bakersfield community is encouraged to come to Bakersfield College on Tuesday, March 12, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. to donate blood. The blood drive will be held in Bakersfield College’s Fireside Room, which is adjacent to the John Collins Campus Center in the center of the campus. Just one pint of donated blood can be used to help three to five people! In the United States, someone needs blood every two seconds, and a blood donation takes just 10 minutes – a small amount of time to give life-saving hope.
